Camping Day 1

So first off I am okay, Tuesday was not a good day but I survived. I had a hard day at work and then was in charge of an acitivy that night at the church, it was about as much fun as a root canal for me. By the time I got home I was so full of frustration and emotion a good messy cry was just what I needed. I felt much better afterwards and hopefully my experiance can lead to some changes that will make things run smoother and avoid simalar events in the furture.

Yeasterday Sara, her family and I went out to the Belfair Area to go cabin camping. Dad came up and helped us make chicken and dumplings for dinner. (Ella asked them why they were putting that slime in there when they added the cream of chicken soup). I think day one of the camping trip can best be described by the following clip:

We had fun dispite the rain. We played some uno with Dad and then took turns reading chapters from the Patrick F. McManus books I had brought along. The kids loved the som'ores and we all got to bed early.

We woke up to clear skies this morning so we are hoping it stays for the rest of the trip. I came back to silverdale for church today (I have a meeting I can't miss) and it ended up being for the best as there was a couple of things that were forgotten (hard to believe as I think we even packed the kitchen sink). Anyway I am headed back out after church. Keep a prayer in your hearts for us that the weather decides to stay nice!!
